As you may recall, Digital Mustard and I are attempting to complete a “year of cardio” in 2016. Meaning running the various distance races (5k,8k, 10k, 10 mile, half marathon, full marathon) as well as some other cardio-esque activities sprinkled in for good measure (Bike MS 180 mile, Olympic Distance Triathlon, etc). Well as of yesterday, every race has now been planned out! Below you will see my schedule for the year!
5k – REHAU Rotary Resolution Race – January 1 – Leesburg, VA – Time: 25:24 (8:11)
8k – 2016 DCRRC Langley 8K – February 6 – Langley, VA – Time 41:28 (8:20)
10k – Bluemont Shamrock 10k – March 19 – Bluemont, VA
10 mile – Baltimore 10 miler – June 4 – Baltimore, MD
Triathlon – Nations Tri – September 11 – Washington, DC
Bike MS – City to Shore 2016 – September 24-25 – Cherry Hill to Ocean City, NJ
Half Marathon – Brooklyn Rock ‘n Roll Half – October 8 – Brooklyn, NY
Marathon – Philadelphia Marathon – November 20 – Philadelphia, PA
All races except for the marathon distances have been registered for! I have my 10k this coming weekend and will post following that run. I have not gotten any training in for it and it’s the first time I’m worried out of any of the races. My hope is to remain under 9 minute miles but we shall see what is possible!
